EDD Lawyer Serving San Diego

Pershing Square Law Firm assists San Diego residents and businesses with California EDD appeals and payroll tax matters. Our fully remote service lets you work with our team without visiting a PSLF office.

Help With Your EDD Matter

Our attorneys review the decision, assess your options, and help prepare the evidence and explanation your case needs. Explore our services for unemployment benefits appeals, benefits overpayment appeals, short-term disability benefits appeals, and payroll tax audits.

San Diego Appeals-Office Resources

The CUIAB San Diego Office of Appeals publishes its contact information and directions. Its page also lists separate offsite hearing facilities in Calexico and El Centro. Check your hearing notice for the office and location assigned to your case; do not assume every hearing associated with the San Diego office takes place at its main address.

The appeals office and hearing facilities are government locations, not PSLF offices. Use the contact details on your notice for case-specific questions about hearing arrangements.

Confirm Your Hearing Arrangements

Before arranging travel, check whether your hearing is by telephone or in person. CUIAB says most hearings are by telephone, while some require an in-person appearance. Its office directory explains that offsite facilities open only for prescheduled hearings.

If you need an interpreter, an accommodation, or a change to your hearing arrangements, consult the CUIAB hearing FAQs and contact the office assigned to your appeal. PSLF’s remote service does not change the instructions on your hearing notice.

Working With PSLF

Our service is fully remote. Start with online screening or request a callback for phone screening. An attorney then calls you to discuss your situation and next steps. Have your EDD decision and any hearing notice available.

Fee Guarantee

No Relief, No Fee

Our law firm understands that hiring a lawyer can be challenging or even intimidating, but we are confident in our ability to help. That’s why we have created the Fee Guarantee.

What is the Fee Guarantee?

Our Fee Guarantee is a promise to obtain relief in your case. This means that if we do not obtain any relief in your case, you will not have to pay our fee.

What does the Fee Guarantee mean for you?

With the Fee Guarantee, you will have peace of mind that your attorneys are going to do their best to protect and promote your interests. You will know that any money you put towards the fee will be protected and fully reimbursed if we fail to obtain relief, providing you with:

Who is eligible for the Fee Guarantee?

The Fee Guarantee is offered to all clients, except for the following:

• EDD Tax Audit cases: Audit cases are cases we represent businesses that undergo an EDD audit for unpaid payroll taxes. The Fee Guarantee does not apply to such cases.

• Writ of Mandate cases: Writ of Mandate cases are cases in which our office appeals a denial by the Appeals Board to the Superior Court. These are often complicated and protracted cases. The Fee Guarantee does not apply to them.

• Cases deemed ‘high risk’: If an attorney deems a case as ‘high risk’ in the free consultation, we may either turn down the representation or offer representation under advisement that it is ‘high risk’. If the client chooses to proceed, we will not offer the Fee Guarantee.
